BASF is the world's leading chemical company. BASF companies in the United Kingdom and Ireland supply a wide range of raw materials to most industries. At Seal Sands on Teesside they manufacture fibre and plastic intermediates.

BASF plc, Seal Sands, needed to replace their old PC-based audiometer with a new system that would work in the sound booth fitted in their occupational health suite. The company contacted Osicus about the Solo audiometer.

An onsite demonstration of the Solo audiometer allowed BASF to try out the audiometer for themselves and see the software in action. The USB connector meant BASF could use any PC to run the audiometer and store records. The audiometer also connected to the terminals in their existing sound booth.
